Question:
When do the robotics programming, the servos burn out occasionally. What are the causes? And how to avoid them?
Answer:
When a servo is traveling to the destination position, if it is blocked by an object, the servo will continue outputting at its maximum current. After a period of time, the motor or control circuit board inside of the servo might burn out due to the high temperature. Or if the robot is keeping at a gesture that requires high torque, the motor or control circuit board might burn out for the same reason. For instance, the robot is standing on one single foot for a long time.
